Of all the days... really a snow storm?

The storm's arrival in Windsor early Friday led to the cancellation of some flights, and school buses weren't operating. (CBC)A major snowstorm is moving through southern Ontario Friday as the country's busiest airport ramps up staffing to handle crowds of holiday travellers, flight delays and cancellations.

The storm system will cover a swath of the province stretching from Windsor east to Kingston, and as far north as Peterborough, bringing snow and gusty winds.

It's expected to end late Friday afternoon after dumping 15 centimetres of snow.

Toronto and Niagara Falls could receive as much as 20 centimetres of snow, beginning in the morning. It will be blustery, as well, with winds gusting up to 60 km/h.
